Yantai Hill Park Yantai Hill Park is the symbolic resort of Yantai city, located at the northern part of the city. Adjacent to the sea at three sides,  there are steep hills, green forests in the park. The highest level above sea is 535.5 meters, with total area of 11.6 hectares. At the foot of the hill, you can see strange cliffs, clear water. The sea and the sky are in the same blue color that you can not tell each from other. It is coastal scenery resort with peculiar features. During Hongwu reign’s period in Ming Dynasty, in order to guard against the invasion from Japan, a beacon tower was built here. After opening-up in 1862, 16 countries as Britain, France, Japan and USA, etc, set up their consulates, churches and post offices here. Around Yantai Hill Park, there clusters many relics and famous resorts with beautiful scenery, as stone boat that dangles higher, Yantai stone scripture, Smoke tower, Dragon King Temple, Light tower, Underwater world, Sea-viewing Building and relics of the foreign consulates. Also you can enjoy sun rise of Yantai and “castle in the air”. The newly-built classical castle-type light tower, standing highly above the hill peak, in the daytime, it increases color for this famous hill, and while during the night, it guides the ship in and out of the harbor. On the hill, there are dense forests, green and elegant. The red mansion and blue building besides which there are roads to the deep forest provide us a beautiful and comfortable environment. At the north of the hill, there is huge rock suspending high above the ground like a boat, beside that is also a rock like sail resting over the sea and facing south. At the foot of the hill, there are reefs floating above the sea and fighting against the wave and wind. The Wave-provoking Pavilion is high against the sky. Leaning against the pavilion and watching the wave, it is really a pleasure. When dark falls, climbing top and looking far away as you can, the islands are inlayed in the sea and the lights are twinkling in the bay. The scenery here is like a wonderful land.

Changyu Castel Wine Chateau Changyu Castel Chateau is a foreign-joint enterprise established by Changyu wine Company, the giant of Chinese wine industry, and Caster company, the giant of French wine industry, located along the golden traveling line from Yantai to Penglai. The Chateau occupies area of 2100 Mu (667 square meters), among which 500 Mu is used for grape plantation for wine, 50 Mu is for the main building of the chateau, 20 Mu is for grape long corridor and road construction. Yantai Changyu Castel Chateau is a scenic spot, combining travel, sightseeing, and relaxation. Meanwhile, it is Changyu’s brewage base for top grade wine and also a important institue that introduces, cultivates high quality grape and carries out plantation research. The architecture in the chateau is European garden style. The grapes planted are all world famous varieties, mainly Cabernet Gernische, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay and Italian Riesling. The total area of underground cellar of Changyu Castel Chateau is 2700 square meters, with depth of 4.5 meters. And at present it is the most modern wine cellar in China. The cellar is divided into three sections, which include bottle brewing Champagne storage area, wine (chateau dry red wine and dry white wine), special wine( top quality sweet wine and top grade  watery wine) storage area. In the cellar, there are more than 1400 oak barrels imported from France, Portugal and Spain.

Brief Introduction to Penglai Pavilion The legend well known in China said that in the deep sea there were three islands, Penglai, Fangzhang and Yingzhou, on which lived immortals and that the common people could not reach.  The ancient alchemists said that the buildings the immortals lived were huge and splendid palace, they were in peaceful mood, ate grass and trees as food and they could live a long life without death. In Qin Dynasty (BC 221~BC 206), the Emperor Qinshihuang ever visited here for long live. During Jiaqing reign (AC 1796~AC 1819), the days were not always smooth, with storm and flood occasionally. For blessing harvest and better life to the gods, a new temple was set up here, which is the present Penglai Pavilion. You could see the beautiful sceneries here, including steep cliff, floating waves, sun rises from the sea, mist over the sea, distant green mountain ranges, sands , dancing egrets, jumping fish. You could go fishing by your self, listening, watching and feeling the wide range of the broad and fairy land.  The city Penglai was named after the pavilion. Penglai means peaceful and long live. We could feel the longevity, benevolence and uprightness in the name that the forebears blessed to their descendants.

Long Island Linhai Forest Park Long Island Linhai Forest Park, located at the southern part of South Changshan Isles and 3 km away from the city, adjacent to end of Changshan Isles, consists of mountain, forest, sea, beach, cliff and cave together. There are winding and rolling mountains, green pine forests of thousands hectares with blue sea around. It is the main part of Long Island National Forest Park approved by the Agricultural and Forest Ministry of China in 1992 and opened to the public now. The park faces the Yellow Sea in the east and The Bohai Sea in the west. In the south, from the side of Dengzhou water course, Pengpai city can be seen. Seeing from Sea-viewing Pavilion, you will see the distant sea and sky. The beautiful scenery of Changshan Isles are all in your sight, which makes you cheeful in mind. You can enjoy sunrise and sunset. Luckily, you will see “castle in the air”, making you reluctant to leave. Especially in summer, entering the forest, the breeze from the sea gives you a cool world. In Jade Valley, the butterfly is dancing and the cicada is singing. There are birds and flowers everywhere. Along Haitian (sea and sky) staircase , you can enjoy the sea, the strange stone, fishing in boat and swimming, forgetting all of your troubles. Turning back, you will see one thousand meters of scrolls on the cliff, there are image of people, beasts, sceneries and  other objects, like falling from the sky.
